Getting a bar into a Manly apartment
A good share of Manly is up a flight of stairs, behind a shared driveway, with a two-hour meter out front. The bar comes apart into pieces one person can carry, and Ollie arrives early enough to use the lift before everyone is home from work.
Terraces and courtyards take the bar wherever there are two flat metres. Balconies work when there's a way to carry it out that isn't through the middle of the party.
Pack-down is deliberately quiet. Glassware goes into padded crates instead of a bin, which matters at midnight in a block of units.
Nothing gets added for travel between here and Palm Beach, so the bar arrives when it suits the afternoon, not when the meter runs out.

The street
Darley Road and the streets off the Corso are metered until six. It changes what time we arrive, not the price.
Lifts and stairs
Two flights is routine. More than that, say so and we bring a smaller setup.
Noise
Most blocks have a by-law about music after a certain hour. The bar itself makes almost none.
If the stairs are the reason you haven't enquired, enquire anyway. It is the most Manly question there is and the answer is nearly always yes.

Can you set up on a balcony?
If there's a path wide enough to carry the bar through, yes. Send a photo of the way in and you'll get an answer before you book.
Can we do drinks at Shelly Beach or the Bower?
Both sit in Northern Beaches Council reserves, an event there needs approval, and much of the Manly foreshore is an alcohol-free zone. Check with the council before you plan around it.
Do you cover Fairlight and Balgowlah?
Yes, and North Head. Same zone, same price.
How early do you arrive?
About ninety minutes before service, and earlier when parking is going to be the hard part.
